A traveling exhibition exploring the placenames of the Causeway Coast and the diverse heritage they reveal to us.

Travelling along the Causeway Coastal Route between Portrush and Ballycastle there are place names such as Dunluce, the Giant’s Causeway, Dunseverick, Carrick-a-Rede and Kinbane. Many of these placenames have fascinating origins; however it’s not just the key locations that are important for the natural and cultural heritage of the area - almost every field, mound, cave, bay, rock, headland and hedge has been named along the Causeway Coast.

The information produced was collected from archive research, GIS mapping and interviews with local landowners, resulting in 6 exhibition panels and an educational resource designed for local primary schools.
